How important is it to be Resilient?
Following on from the blog about how to be mentally tough, I came accross this in a book I was reading by John Ortberg, author of The Life You've Always Wanted.
-Resilient people coninually seek to reassert some command and control over their destiny rather than seeling themselves as passive victims.
-Resilient people have a larger than usual capacity for what might be called moral courage - for refusing to betray their values.
-Resilient people find purpose and meaning in their suffering.
Very interesting don't you think?
Are you clear on your values? Values are an extremely important part of the job staisfaction mechanics.
Time invested in clarifying what yours are is time well spent.
