Be who you want to be?
I saw a heading to day that got me thinking.
It said "Be Who You Want To Be".
There's nothing wrong with the statement in itself. The problem comes when you are trying to be someone you were never created to be.
So many people get frustrated, discouraged and even depressed whe they are trying too hard to be somebody they really aren't.
You can do it for a while and may even get quite good at it. But after a time, it definitely takes its toll.
It's not even a matter of if, but when it takes its toll. You may experience job burn out, personal burn out, depression or general unhappiness.
This can be like trying to write with your left hand when you are right handed. You may get quite good at it, but it will never be natural and will always require more effort.
Spend some time finding out what your uniqueness is, then develop those unique capabilities.
Once you have this understanding of yourself, this will be the person you want to be, and you can THEN be the person you want to be.
