Should you Fake it til you Make it?

Have you heard that saying before?
It possibly conjures up images of people who think they are more successful and more important than they really are.
But I would like to think about this a little.
There's another saying, that "possession is 9/10ths of the law".
I think that goal setting and achieving your goals is exactly the same.
You have to act as if you own them. You need to possess them and own them.
Most importantly you need to act on them.
I was watching and interview with a very successful self made millionare in the UK, James Khan. He made his initial fortune by setting up a global recruitment company. When he first started out, he was very careful to give the impression that he was more than a one man band. He acted as if he was already the big successful company that he was to become.
No beginning proffessional would ever get very far, if they acted as if they had no confidence in their ability. A doctor acts as if he is a successful doctor, a mortgage consultant acts as if they have a wealth of experience etc etc.
I'm not suggesting you lie or be unrealistic, but you have to assume that victory is yours.
Do you?
Do you need help clarifying your goals?
