Spring and Interviews

Isn't it great to see a few clear days and some spring flowers making their appearance?
This brings a sense of possibilities. There is a possibility of summer. A possibility that things will be brighter.
With the sense of spring, a lot of people are looking at other possibilities as well.
I was reading that it is well a documented fact that some people can get quite depressed at the beginning of February in the UK because they have had enough of the long, dark, cold days.
I think this can transcend into other areas of their lives as well, and they feel quite depressed about their jobs. They've had enough of the seemingly endless long, boring, pointless days at work!
So it would seem natural that people start looking out for that new job, get a new outift, go along to a few interveiws, and see what happens.
Unfortunately, alot of people don't have much success because they are so ill prepared for the interview process. A new outfit is about as much preparation as some people do.
Have you been in this position?
How clear are you on who you are as a person and how you could make a valuable contribution to someone elses business?
Do you know why exactly it is that you aren't satisfied in your current role? Why are you looking to move?
Have you practised interview answers. There are sites on the web such as bymyinterviewer.co.uk that can give you ideas of questions that may be asked, and how to answer them.
As an ex-recruitment consultant I can tell you that if you go along to an interview with a clear idea of where you are going in your career and why you want to go there, it will help with the interview process enormously.
You will then have more chance of getting into a job that offers you that sense of new possibilities.
